Beans are sprouted by hand for 3 days prior to processing to remove phytic acid- the carbohydrate found in beans that makes it difficult for the body to digest (causing bloating, gas and indigestion.) By sprouting the beans, the anti-nutrients are removed which makes the beans more easily digestible and increases the absorption of vitamins and minerals naturally found in Garbanzo Beans- like zinc, iron, magnesium and potassium!
